Preview: sample article, not real research
Sample article. The structure is final; the text is a placeholder until the research is done.
Who buys it
Asset integrity managers at refineries and utilities, and infrastructure departments at road operators.
How it pays back
Avoided shutdowns, no scaffolding or rope access, and data that can be compared year to year.
What installation takes
Very little — the robot comes to the asset. The work is in certification and in fitting the asset owner’s reporting format.
Who services it
The vendor, usually selling inspection as a service.
How repeatable it is
Highly repeatable within one asset type; each new asset type is a new product.
What limits growth
Certification by inspection bodies, and long framework contracts.
